What is the best way to get to Vienna?


The nearest airport is Vienna International Airport. But you can also arrive at the Airport in Bratislava, which is quite close.
You can find more information about how to get there on the offical Vienna Tourism site. There you can also find all the links for national train company, airport etc. Website Vienna Tourism The hotel does not have its own car park. We recommend the "Felberstraße 1" car park.




Where is the hotel?


Our hotel is at Vienna Westbahnhof (Europaplatz 3). The train station is called Wien Westbahnhof, you can reach the train station with line U3 and U6. Wiener Linien (underground, busses etc) OEBB (trains)




Do I need to buy a public transport ticket?


We organized transportation to all the venues of the programm. So for attending the workshops, opening ceremony, parties etc. you won´t need one. You might need a public transport ticket for attending the day activites. You can buy tickets at every station and at the airport. At the moment a one-way public transport ticket in the city centre costs 2,40€.




Is there an airport shuttle?


There is no special shuttle organized for EUCO participants. But our hotel is easy reachable from Airport. A part of our HOC Team will be at the airport an the main train stations to help you find the best way to the hotel. CityAirport Train Public Transport Taxi/Uber





Accommodation

Where do I stay?


All participants are going to stay at Motel One Westbahnhof. This design hotel is close to Mariahilfer Strasse, a popular shopping street leading from the city centre toward the Schönbrunn Palace. You can reach other central sights such as the Hofburg, the Stephansdom and the Staatsoper just as quickly. It is located at one of the main train stations in Vienna. How many participants can stay in one room?


All rooms are Standard Double Rooms with one queen size bed.




Can I have a single room?


You can have a room all by yourself. Please just contact our team so we can arrange everything for you.




Parking at the hotel


We recoomend parking in a public parking garage near the hotel. The parking garage costs €14 per day. Public parking on the street is possible but not reccomended.

Yes.

Do I need cash?


You can pay with by card nearly everywhere. But be aware that some restaurants won´t let you pay by card unless you reach minimum amoubt (most of the time between 10-15€).




Where and when can I buy things in Vienna?


You are in the lucky position that our hotel is directly at Mariahilfer-Strasse, one of the main shopping streets in Vienna. The stores are generally open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m.-6.30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or 6 p.m.. On Sundays and public holidays shops are normally closed but souvenir shops, museum shops, at railroad stations and at Vienna Airport are normally open.




Where can I dance the waltz in Vienna?


You can dance at our Gala Dinner. And for those of you interested we also offer some dancing lessons as a day activity.

We organized transport to all the main events.




Are there gluten-free/vegan/etc. options for food?


Yes. Don´t be afraid nobody is going to starve. But please tell us in advance so we are able to make sure that there is food for you.
